Awarded triptych made as thematic artwork for “Labinski uzlet likovnosti 2023” on theme of St. Justus and presented at the Labin Public Art Gallery. A triptych represents embroidered symbols; palm, sea, and rope, that convey the story of St. Justus. The palm branch symbolizes sacrifice, humility, victory, and celebration. The rope evokes the pain and burden St. Justus endured when bound and thrown into the sea. The sea represents layers of meaning, enigmatic force, and his final breath, while embodying liberation. The dominant use of white unites simplicity, sacredness, and purity. Thread as a medium embodies fragility, vulnerability, and life's transient nature-like threads that can easily break or tangle. This work evokes impermanence through the interplay of strength and fragility.
